A-B-C Favorite Fall 2010 Collections

16 Mar

Alberta Ferretti

Ferretti is known for the flowing femininity of her dresses–(think chiffon and silk)–expressed perfectly in this collection. Here, Ferretti brings back the softly old-fashioned, simple, elegant look. Long dresses–and even long sleeves–play a big part in this lovely collection.

When I think Blumarine, I think “sophisticated” and “vibrant color.” This collection was different. The designs this season were sporty and simple, and sleek fabrics like leather and suede were chosen. I usually prefer that which is bold and colorful, but for some reason I found this collection very appealing.

Clements Ribeiro

Despite all its old-fashioned embellishments and patterns, I think this collection had a menswear aspect to it. Very vintage and artistic.

Dries Van Noten

This collection is a mix of ladies’ styles from the 50’s, menswear, and military. It is extremely sensible and down-to-earth–but does not fail to make a major fashion statement!

Erin Fetherston

Erin Fetherston’s Fall 2010 Collection has something for every woman. Long, flowing gowns (strongly reminded of ancient Roman ladies!), short, flirty silhouettes (but even those just have to have long, flowing sleeves!), daring pantsuits, menswear, and that totally creative, original–and maybe even odd–something for women who want to be different–it’s all there.

A, B, C, D, E done–21 more to go :-/

I should be back
